Career Counsellor and Coach

Claire-Preistly-014-1-web.jpg

I am passionate about supporting people to secure work they find meaningful.

My aim is to provide career counselling and coaching services that match the needs of my clients. Sometimes this will be the chance to have a quick chat about a specific issue. And, at other times, clients are seeking a comprehensive suite of services covering the entire journey from identifying career options to securing a role and settling in.

Part of my own career journey has been about learning to embrace a type of career that would take me towards my interests and goals, but was not a typical career path. I am skilled at supporting clients to confidently explain their interests, goals, and career story in their resume, LinkedIn profile, networking conversations and interview.

Alongside my work at Bright Careers, I work as a governance, policy and strategy specialist with the state government. I have twenty years’ experience in health and human services, including ten years’ experience in workforce development. This experience supports my work with my clients by enabling me to provide specialist expertise in job markets, trends in different professions, and education pathways.
